REFURBISH AND EXPAND

GO GRIDLESS will work with any existing Solar Home System, should you wish to refurbish and expand its capacity.

NET METERING

Net Metering is a program with Meralco that allows a Solar Home System owner to sell excess Solar PV energy back to the utility company, and receive a credit.
(Purchase rate x # of kilowatts = credit) which is applied against the electricity bill.

The Net Metering Application follows this procedure:

1. Solar Home System is completed and switched on (with the inverter settings to allow for solar power to be contained within the property only). You enjoy the benefits of your solar power system as the Net Metering permits are being secured.
2. Documents are submitted to both City Hall and Meralco requesting for Net Metering to be activated.
3. Meralco will perform some tests, and the City Hall will provide necessary permits
4. The electric utility will then replace the existing electric meter, and in some cases also install a new additional meter. At this point, the solar inverter settings are adjusted to allow for it to send unused/excess power
   back to the electric utility
5. The new meter(s) will count incoming power as per usual, and also count outgoing power (unused solar power
   the property does not use) which is then itemized on the bill as credit.
6. You can elect to apply and secure the permit yourself or for a minimal fee, avail of our service to secure
   the permit for you.
