REFURBISH AND EXPAND

GO GRIDLESS will work with any existing Solar Home System, should you wish to refurbish and expand its capacity.

NET METERING

Net Metering is a program with Meralco that allows a Solar Home System owner to sell excess Solar PV energy back to the utility company, and receive a credit.
(Purchase rate x # of kilowatts = credit) which is applied against the electricity bill.

The Net Metering Application follows this procedure:

  1. Solar Home System is completed and switched on (with the inverter settings to allow for solar power to be contained within the property only). You enjoy the benefits of your solar power system as the Net Metering permits are being secured.
  2. Documents are submitted to both City Hall and Meralco requesting for Net Metering to be activated.
  3. Meralco will perform some tests, and the City Hall will provide necessary permits
  4. The electric utility will then replace the existing electric meter, and in some cases also install a new additional meter. At this point, the solar inverter settings are adjusted to allow for it to send unused/excess power
    back to the electric utility
  5. The new meter(s) will count incoming power as per usual, and also count outgoing power (unused solar power
the property does not use) which is then itemized on the bill as credit.
  6. You can elect to apply and secure the permit yourself or for a minimal fee, avail of our service to secure
    the permit for you.

The Go Gridless Difference

Our materials, workmanship and installation methods meet international standards typically seen in mature solar adopted countries such as Australia, Japan and Europe. We use Tier 1 / Class A solar panels and inverters from reputable brands and manufacturers to design long lasting systems that provide benefits and savings for years to come.

An Investment

Your GO GRIDLESS solutions pays for itself as our systems last longer, are more durable, and provide more power over time when compared to cheaper, less quality driven competitors.

FAQ’s

What are the components of a Solar System?

A basic Solar System comprises of Solar Panels and an Inverter.  The Inverter is like the brain of the system, controlling your Solar Panels and prioritizing their power for use within your property.  The Inverter connects with your electric utility supply to ensure seamless and automated integration.  More advanced Solar Systems include Battery Storage so that you can store your solar power for backup or night time usage.

Does solar work during a power outage?

Only Solar Systems with compatible Battery Storage solutions will work during electric utility power outages.  If your system is a Grid-Tied system without any Battery, the Inverter will automatically disconnect itself until your electric utility resumes their power supply.  This is a mandated function to ensure the safety of electric utility workers that may be trying to fix your power supply.

Are Solar Systems typhoon proof?

All the Solar Systems that GO GRIDLESS installs are rated to Super Typhoon wind speeds.  Depending on your roof, we will determine the most appropriate parts needed to ensure your Solar Panels remain in place!

Do I need to do anything to operate my solar system?

Not really – your Solar System automates the Solar Power and electric utility grid power without any switching required.

What maintenance is needed?

It is recommended that the Solar Panels are cleaned once a year to ensure you receive the best possible performance from your system.  The Inverter should also be cleaned from dust and dirt every year.

What is Net Metering?

Net Metering is a program implemented by electric utility companies to allow you to sell your excess Solar Power back to them for a credit against your monthly bill.  This is beneficial if your daytime usage is minimal, and your Solar System is producing more than you consume.  GO GRIDLESS can assist you in applying for Net Metering for your project.

Is my property Solar System compatible?

Most properties are!  The experienced team at GO GRIDLESS can provide an initial assessment and estimation to determine what solutions are suitable for your property.

How do I know I am getting a quality system?

It is important to ensure that Solar equipment is of international standard and safety quality.  Solar Panels are typically independently rated as “Tier 1” if they come from more established manufacturers.  All the Solar Systems that GO GRIDLESS install are Class-A from well-established brands.

Once my system is installed, how do I know if my system is working?

Most systems GO GRIDLESS supplies include online monitoring capability.  This allows you to see your Solar Power production via a website or smartphone app.  In addition to this, the status of your Solar System can also be seen on the lights & screen of your Inverter.
